Description Brass and iron fender, English, early 19th century. Empire style fireplace fender with three-sided brass frame with rounded corners and curved rail on top; three stylized paw feet in front; bands of openwork tracery in lyre pattern on top and bottom; solid, protruding lobed band in center; L-shaped iron support in back; molded bottom.
