Object Name Teapot

Description Sterling silver teapot, Dublin, Ireland, late 18th century, made by Robert Breading. Teapot with serpentine, oval body and engraved decor; flat, hinged lid with knop finial; straight spout soldered to base of body; C-scroll handle with scroll thumb rest and white, vegetable ivory spacers; flat base; engraved fan borders on top and bottom of body; alternating panels of engraved swags and floral swags flanking oval cartouches; cartouche on each side, one with arm holding book, the other unfinished.
Inscription Text "RB"
Initials adjacent to poorly formed hallmark and another in shape of a crown.
